After tearing my ACL during my lacrosse season at the University of Massachusetts in February, I was very down and uncertain about my future.Fortunately, I found a great doctor and wonderful therapists. Who have inspired and motivated me to get to where I am now, healthy and feeling great.
Thanks a bunch for all your help!
I first came into Greg’s Physical Therapy hurting with Left Knee and Right Flank discomfort. He gave me comfort that with time and therapy, it will heal back to normal. His helper, Kaitlin, was great. I now will go home completely healed and without any pain. Greg first hand did terrific therapy.
When I first came to Kings Park Physical Therapy, I was on crutches and in a leg brace. I progressed and am doing well. The exercise and training really helped. Without Physical Therapy, I doubt I would have recovered as well.
Tara came to Kings Park Physical therapy in bad shape. She is a competitive gymnast and is in the gym 5 days a week. She had a torn quad.Your team worked tirelessly on Tara and kept her spirits high.During the painful recovery, Greg remained positive towards her and reminded her that she would compete in gymnastics again. Everything Greg said about her recovery happened.
Thanks for all the hard work!
After being diagnosed with arthritis under my right knee cap, my doctor prescribed physical therapy to strengthen the muscles around the knee to give more support. When I started with Kings Park Physical therapy my muscles were weak, stiff and very tight. I was informed that we would be starting out very slowly and work our way up with intensity. (I honestly feel that is the secret to a good physical therapist)
The results were outstanding! I have achieved the original goal which was to be able to walk without pain thanks to the competency of the therapist who worked with me over the past two months. They were friendly, calming, empowering and very knowledgeable.I would highly recommend Kings Park Physical Therapy to anyone seeking a caring staff. I plan on continuing my exercise at KP so I can continue to keep my muscles strong and most of all surrounded by continued support from a wonderful staff.
Thank you so much for giving me back movement without pain!
When I first came into Physical Therapy, my ankle was really swollen. I wasn’t able to stand or put pressure on my left ankle. About six weeks later, I can stand, jump and run on my ankle. After I play in my practices and games, my ankle hurts and slightly swells but it has improved since my injury.
After dealing with chronic pain everyday for approximately one and a half years, I underwent surgery for a torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder back in February 2012. Several weeks later I began physical therapy at Kings Park PT.Towards the end of my therapy, I no longer knew which arm it was that I had surgery on. To me that was my success story .Helped along by Greg and his dedicated staff, my shoulder feels like it did before the tear.
I visited 3 locations in the area concerning my physical therapy, 2 of them were recommended by my doctor. When I visited Kings Park Physical Therapy and spoke to Mr. Greg Rahn and reviewed the overall operation and layout of this facility. It was clear to me where I wanted to receive my therapy. This location was not recommended by my doctor. However, one must make their own decisions as well.
The staff, treatment, professionalism, communication, was outstanding. The treatment resulted in relief and if need be I would not hesitate returning to Kings Park Therapy for additional treatments.Once again I would like to thank Kings Park Therapy for putting me back on track.
All the best.
Thank you Greg Rahn and the staff at Kings Park Physical Therapy!
Following my total knee replacement in December, I limped into Kings Park PT in early January using a cone. We had checked out several other places in the area for my physical therapy but chose to come here.Greg spent a lot of time with me and prescribed a series of exercises. His approach was very much “hands on” and as I progressed rapidly he made changes. In a few weeks he said I should “lose the can” I wasn’t sure but he was right.
Melissa, who assists him is very helpful. Soon I was moving very independently from exercise to exercise. I did not experience the pain other people have when going through PT. Greg was very sensitive while doing the necessary bending with my knee. The equipment he has available enables one to work on flexation and extension without terrible discomfort.
In March, I shocked my friends by rejoining my golf foursome. I no longer limp and I walk pain free.
Thank you again for a great job!
I have suffered on and off for years from positional vertigo and found that the Eppley Maneuver corrects the problem.Fortunately, I remembered a sign on the wall of Kings Park Physical Therapy mentioning help with dizziness. Sure enough, Greg and his staff were well verse in the maneuver. After several sessions, it stabilized me again.I was encouraged by the fact that more than one person was available to suit my schedule and that they gave me exercises to aide in coping with the condition while it existed.I would highly recommend Kings Park Physical Therapy to anyone requiring physical therapy of any sort.
I was experiencing excruciating lower back pain as a result of herniated disks. I’m a very active person and was afraid that I would not be able to do all the physical activities that I enjoyed in the past. They guided me through a regimen of stretching and strength exercises that relieved all the pain and my fear of never doing simple activities completely disappeared. They both displayed professional, courteous and informative attitudes and I would (and already did) recommend Kings Park PT to friends and family if they ever have the need for physical therapy services.
Since starting physical therapy 18 months ago, I have increased bone density in my hip. This is due to my therapy or I am able to take medication for osteoporosis. My posture, strength and endurance have increased dramatically.
At the suggestion of my doctor, I came to Kings Park physical therapy for my knee – a torn meniscus. Before therapy, I had much discomfort and had difficulty squatting and getting up. After about 8 sessions, my knee is better and I can bend at more easily.
In September, I tore my ACL. I had microfractures and dislocated knee. I was in a brace and I could barely make it upstairs. Then after working 6 months with Tom and some of the other therapist.I am back to running track as well as on schedule to participate in a summer soccer training program. Thank you all.
When I arrived at Kings Park Physical Therapy I had fallen and was limping with limited range of motion and pain from my left knee and leg.Greg did a thorough review of my condition and the doctor’s recommendations. He laid out a treatment plan for remediation. After 8 weeks of treatment two visits per week, I have fully recovered to my pre-injury physical ability, range of motion and comfort level.I am very happy with the results achieved by Greg and his staff.
